Tooling

When considering metal spinning vs other methods of manufacturing a product it is always a GOOD IDEA to consider what the tooling cost will be. In comparison to other methods of making parts like stamping or hydroforming metal spinning has a relatively low tooling cost. We make all of our toolings in house which allows us to use wood or steel depending on the need of the customer, we also offer low cost plans if the customer does not wish to take the tooling and leave it at GOOD IDEAS METAL SPINNING. We honor our word when we say that a companies tooling will be used solely for the making of that companies parts unless authorized by said company for use by someone else.

There are many things to consider when drawing a product to be manufactured through the metal spinning process

Shape

The majority of parts that are metal spun are done so with a concentric shape. The parts are spun round which mean that the parts are allowed a wide range of radii. The shapes however don't have to be completely sphere-like, one of the advantages of metal spinning is that we can put ribs, hems, embosses, steps and beads into the shape of the part which also help add to the rigidness of the part. When adding rigidness to the part we are also allowing for use of a lighter material because the it will be harder than a simple smooth service.
